About Us
Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University provides opportunities to learn, share and collaborate in the
field of Quality Management to both - students of Quality, who aspire to
specialise in quality management and working professionals, who are involved in
the implementation and management of Quality. Besides providing learning modules
for individuals interested to learn about Quality, the institution wishes to
encourage the interest, uptake and application of TQM thinking in the Arab World
through innovative, affordable and accessible means.
Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University runs a corporate website and an e-college on the Internet. While the
corporate website is a brochure-ware site, which details the purpose behind
Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University, it's vision, mission et al, the e-College site carries online learning
modules which allow subscribers to complete specific courses.
To support a strategy for the encouragement of growth and development of
scientific thinking and publishing in the Arab World and the Middle East region,
the college has announced launch of its International journals on Excellence.
The focus is on excellence in order to:
- Make academic thought useful to society
- Dismiss the myth that research suffers from the black-box syndrome
- Cover the richness of excellence in terms of thought and new development
- Demonstrate how new thinking can be guided to be usefully implemented
The following three pillars support the vision of the journal:
- To act as seeds for the scientific growth and scientific publications in the
region. The journals will provide opportunities for young ad mature researchers
alike, to be published and thereby give them an opportunity for seeking
recognition for the valuable work that they do in their fields of interests.
- To act as vehicles for dissemination for researchers and practitioners alike. In
case of researchers, the journals will act as a catalyst for stimulating
original thinking and provide the fuel for future generations of ideas and
concepts. For practitioners, articles published in the Journals will act as
sound-bytes and provide useful prompts for the implementation of new ideas and
concepts.
- At an academic institutional level, act as a reference point for identifying
areas where useful, credible, impactable research is taking place
The portfolio of Journal titles will continue to be enhanced and grown to cover
all the sectors of the general economy. Efforts will also be made to position
the eTQM Journal portal as the most valuable and preferred hub for the
repository of knowledge and original and thinking in Excellence.
